About the role
Within the central Marketing function, the Performance & Category Marketing team is responsible for unlocking scalable growth in priority markets while driving buyer and seller engagement across our four Business Units: Collectables, Luxury, Art & Interiors.
The team brings together expertise across several disciplines: Performance Marketing, Social Media, Creative, Category Marketing, Campaigns & Activations, Partnerships, Events, Research & Strategy. As an intern, you’ll work across functions and gain insight into a wide range of marketing initiatives.
What you’ll do
As a Marketing Intern – Social Media & Content, you'll immerse yourself in the world of digital marketing, supporting our social media operations and creative processes. You'll contribute to creator management, leverage AI tools to streamline content workflows, and help deliver high-impact marketing outputs across social, paid, and content.
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

Managing and updating the social media calendar, including scheduling and publishing content across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn

Supporting creative briefings and campaign planning with the wider team

Assisting with community management and social moderation

Helping execute paid social media activities, in close collaboration with the Social Media Manager

Researching and managing creator collaborations, including outreach, coordination, and tracking deliverables

Leveraging AI tools (e.g. for content ideation, image/video editing, copywriting, or analytics) to enhance content quality and speed

Contributing to the creation of engaging, on-brand content

Supporting in the collection and interpretation of social performance data for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
What you’ll bring

You are currently enrolled at a Dutch university throughout the internship period — ideally in the final year of your studies in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field

You’re passionate about digital marketing, social media, and content creation

You’ve studied or worked in international environments and enjoy cross-cultural collaboration

You are confident, communicative, and comfortable interacting with people across functions

You are proactive, well-organised, and detail-oriented

You’re eager to explore and apply AI-enhanced marketing tools

You’re fluent in English (additional European languages are a plus)

You’re available with a minimum internship duration of 5–6 months
This role is based in Amsterdam, with flexibility under our hybrid working model

Our Offices and Way of Working
Our vibrant offices in Amsterdam, Paris and Lisbon are designed to inspire and connect. Most Catawikians are within commuting distance of one of our offices and enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work model. This means that you will be in the office 2 out of 5 days (40% of your working time) to collaborate and connect with your colleagues. That said, some roles may be an exception: if the job description states that the position is fully remote or 100% office-based, that arrangement will apply instead.
