- Supervise daily compliance monitoring activities and support the implementation of monitoring plans, ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
- Manage and develop the compliance monitoring pillar, overseeing workload distribution, performance, and timely delivery of responsibilities.
- Provide expert advice on Wtt, Wwft, and CDD matters, and assist with regulatory reporting and filings.
- Execute and document compliance monitoring programs, provide feedback to first line teams, and advise Senior Management on findings and remedies.
- Maintain compliance monitoring databases and manage related communications.
- Manage team performance through clear objectives, feedback, and delegation, ensuring strategic alignment and resource allocation.
- Communicate effectively across all levels, demonstrating self-awareness and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Master’s degree in Tax Law, Finance, Criminology, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in compliance roles or within regulatory environments, ideally gained through working with national or international supervisory authorities.

Holding a recognized certification in compliance or regulatory affairs is strongly preferred
Strong understanding of Dutch compliance regulations, including Wwft, Customer Due Diligence, and sanction laws. Familiarity with Wtt is preferred. - Proven experience supervising or coaching a compliance team within the financial sector or large law firm, or regulator.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal, are required. Proficiency in Dutch is preferred
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience in guiding and supporting compliance professionals.
- Able to handle pushbacks constructively and communicate effectively with senior leadership.
