Fugro’s Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) are transforming offshore operations—enabling safer, more sustainable, and cost-effective solutions for subsea inspections, seafloor mapping, and environmental monitoring.
We are seeking a Team Lead Full-Stack Developer - Maritime Navigation of our advanced navigation and control platform for autonomous and remote-controlled maritime operations.
This platform is central to the safe and efficient operation of our USVs. You will lead a multidisciplinary software team, collaborating closely with robotics and simulation/QA engineers to deliver robust, scalable, and safety-critical solutions.
Your Role
Lead the design, development, and deployment of full stack C#.NET solutions for our vessel navigation and control platform.
Architect and implement software for navigation, vessel control, data acquisition, and real-time control.
Ensure compliance with safety-critical standards and best practices in software engineering.
Collaborate with robotics engineers on integration of control algorithms, sensor payloads, and real-time data processing.
Work with simulation/QA engineers to automate and validate the autonomy stack, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and CI/CD pipelines.
Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and cross-functional meetings.
Support field deployments and troubleshooting of USV navigation and control systems.
Your Profile
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in full stack development with C#.NET (ASP.NET Core, Angular and/or React, Entity Framework).
Proficient in CI/CD practices, automated testing, and containerization (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
Demonstrated ability to lead software teams and deliver complex, high-quality solutions.
Solid understanding of safety-critical systems, ideally within maritime, robotics, or industrial automation domains.
Experience with real-time control systems and sensor integration.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in multidisciplinary environments.
Hands-on, proactive mindset with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement.
Bonus Points
Experience with maritime navigation systems.
Knowledge of autonomous vessel technologies and safety regulations.
