The Strategy Team shapes the long-term growth direction of Carbon Equity. We identify and validate the big growth opportunities—ranging from entering new markets and designing innovative product structures, to pursuing international expansion and forging strategic partnerships.

The role
As a Strategy Working Student, you’ll be a critical extra brain and pair of hands for our team. You’ll work on a wide variety of projects, combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
What you’ll do:
Conduct in-depth research into new product opportunities, impact themes, and client segments.
Gather and analyse customer insights through surveys, interviews, and data analysis.
Track market trends and competitive activity, distilling insights into clear, actionable reports.
Create compelling presentations and slides that synthesise complex information into clear, visually attractive outputs for decision-making.
Proactively assess the quality and relevance of information, challenging assumptions where needed.
Contribute to investment case development and strategic roadmaps for new initiatives.
Synthesize and structure outputs from management workshops and strategic sessions.
Support R&D project prioritisation, helping us focus resources on the most impactful ideas.
What we’re looking for:
Currently pursuing or recently completed an MSc in a relevant field (e.g. Strategy, Innovation, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance).
Strong analytical skills – you can structure complex information and distil it into clear takeaways.
A critical thinker – you ask the right questions, test the relevance of data, and challenge insights.
Strong communication skills – able to convey complex ideas in a simple, structured, and engaging way, both verbally and in writing (including presentations).
Independent & self-starting – able to take ownership, drive tasks forward, and get things done.
Collaborative mindset – comfortable gathering input, aligning stakeholders, and co-creating solutions.
Affinity with impact, sustainability, and/or investing.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Available to start quickly.
