A Day in the Life
Are you looking for a hands-on role where your work directly contributes to the timely and accurate delivery of medical products? In our Packaging & Customizing department, you will scan, assemble, label, and package a wide variety of components into finished products ready to be shipped to customers and patients worldwide. Each product is prepared in a structured cell-based environment, with a strong focus on quality, accuracy and meeting specific customer requirements. This is your opportunity to work with Medtronic technologies, such as pacemakers or insulin pumps, that help patients manage chronic conditions and improve their lives every day.This is an on-site position within our Distribution Center (DC), which is part of the broader Value Added Services (VAS) environment. You’ll be expected to follow procedures and quality standards, while working closely with your team to meet the required output. In addition to your main activities, you may be flexibly deployed to other related departments within the DC and VAS. You’ll report to the team lead of Packaging & Customizing, and no travel is required.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Assemble various types of products in a structured cell environment by scanning, labeling and packaging components according to product-specific instructions
- Follow department procedures and work instructions to meet productivity and quality standards, both at cell/zone level and department-wide
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment by applying flow and pull principles that contribute to team efficiency and value for the customer
- Monitor equipment during operation and report any malfunctions or abnormalities to support continuous production flow
- Meet daily output targets based on customer demand while working accurately, efficiently and with attention to detail
- Apply knowledge of quality requirements and processes within the department, ensuring compliance throughout each step
- Cooperate with colleagues and support operational flexibility by assisting in other function-related departments within the DC and VAS when needed
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Basic knowledge of SAP (Systems, Applications and Products – enterprise resource planning system)
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (e.g., Outlook, Excel)
- Experience in a logistics or production environment and related work processes
- Ability to work in accordance with detailed work instructions and quality procedures
- Understanding of the Medtronic mindset and the Medtronic Performance System (MPS), including continuous improvement and lean principles
- Basic process insight and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a structured setting
Experience with Medtronic products or within a regulated warehouse environment is a plus, but not required. We value motivated team players with a strong sense of responsibility and a willingness to learn.
