Asset Management Project Lead

As the Asset Management Project Lead, you will drive the implementation and integration of asset management initiatives across our global terminal portfolio. Your focus will be on leading strategic projects related to asset improvements, digitalization, systems integration, and reliability. Acting as a bridge between global strategies and local execution, you’ll ensure alignment, standardization, and value creation through structure and accountability. You will collaborate when project needs with other company functions as well within other global asset management team members.

Location: The Hague, Netherlands (Might be required travel internationally up to 30–50%)
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Execution:
Lead and coordinate global asset management projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and measurable outcomes. This includes overseeing integration efforts involving Active Directory (AD) and IFS systems to enhance asset visibility and control.
Project Methodology & Governance:
Apply structured project management methodology including preparation of project charters, business case development, scope definition, timeline and milestone planning, resource allocation, stakeholder mapping, risk assessment, and reporting.
Terminal Engagement:
Collaborate closely with terminal teams to assess needs, guide implementation, monitor adoption, and ensure consistent execution of global asset strategies.
LEAN & Continuous Improvement:
Apply LEAN tools and principles to identify waste, streamline maintenance workflows, and drive continuous improvements in asset performance.
Stakeholder Management:
Act as key liaison between global AM, IT, Engineering, and terminal operations. Build strong relationships with regional leaders and local asset owners.
Reporting & Documentation:
Ensure timely reporting of project milestones, challenges, and outcomes. Maintain documentation of project frameworks, tools, and best practices.
We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field (master’s preferred).
- Experience in asset management, terminal operations, or large-scale industrial environments.
- Hands-on experience with IFS CMMS (implementation or administration highly preferred).
- Familiarity with Active Directory (AD), particularly in the context of system integrations and user access management.
- Understanding of asset digitalization technologies (e.g., IoT, SCADA, telemetry, condition monitoring).
- Knowledge of maintenance and reliability principles (RCM, FMEA, or similar methodologies) is a plus.
- Proven project management skills (PMP or equivalent certification preferred).
- Experience with developing and implementing transformation programs or projects.
- Knowledge of Lean fundamentals.
