Côté du Cool is a place where hospitality meets creativity. By day we serve specialty coffee, luxury teas, and light lunches; by evening (from 17:00) we continue with our established wine & social concept. We are located next to Hogeschool Rotterdam and Frame Offices, making us a hub for students, teachers, and entrepreneurs who value quality, atmosphere, and connection.
The Role
As a Barista at Côté du Cool, you’ll be the face of our daytime concept. You’ll craft excellent coffee and tea, create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and provide guests with an elevated experience. You’ll also play a key role in ensuring smooth service for business lunches and small group gatherings.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and serve specialty coffee, tea, and light food items to a high standard.
- Create a welcoming environment for guests
- Maintain knowledge of our menu, including coffee origins, teas, and wines (for smooth handover into evening service).
- Keep the bar and seating area tidy, clean, and well-organized.
- Support with simple food prep and serving during lunch service.
- Handle payments and orders accurately.
- Contribute ideas to improve service and guest experience.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a barista or strong passion for coffee/tea (training can be provided).
- Warm, guest-focused personality; you enjoy connecting with people.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with both students and professionals.
- Attention to detail and pride in presentation.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: €16,00 - €18,00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 16 per week
