Objective
Daily tasks
- Preparation of buffet items: Responsible for baking bread and pastries to ensure the buffet is well-stocked with fresh items.
- Cooking fresh hot breakfast dishes: During the breakfast service, you prepare all hot dishes ordered by guests, ensuring they are served fresh and on time.
- Breakfast mise en place: Together with your breakfast colleagues, you ensure that the mise en place for the breakfast service is in order on a daily basis.
- Storing deliveries: You inspect goods delivered by various suppliers and ensure they are stored in the appropriate locations.
- Supervision of stewarding: You work closely with the dishwasher, providing direction and ensuring the quality of their work meets the required standards.
- Lunch mise en place: Under the guidance of the kitchen coordinator, you assist in the mise en place for the lunch service.
- Cleanliness of waste area: Together with the dishwasher, you check the cleanliness of the waste area daily, ensuring it is maintained at the required level.
- Lunch service assistance: You contribute to the lunch service, working with the team to ensure a smooth and high-quality delivery of lunch dishes to our guests.
- Cleanliness of kitchen and workspace: Throughout your shift, you maintain the cleanliness, orderliness, and functionality of the kitchen and your workspace.
Teamwork and collaboration
In your role as a Breakfast and Lunch Chef, you will primarily work closely with the breakfast and lunch service team, the dishwasher, and the kitchen coordinator. You report directly to the kitchen coordinator and are responsible for overseeing the duties of the dishwasher. We expect a respectful and professional collaboration with the service team, ensuring that everyone works together harmoniously to deliver dishes of the highest quality to our guests.

- You will also have the chance to develop yourself and the team by contributing to the lunch service and preparing the mise en place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Kitchen Experience (preferred): Previous experience in kitchen work is a plus.
- Teamwork experience (preferred): Experience working effectively in a team is an advantage.
- Language proficiency: Excellent command of both Dutch and English (spoken).
- Stress resilience: Ability to remain calm and act effectively in unexpected situations.
- Organizational skills: Strong planning, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail: Keen focus on cleanliness, hygiene, and detail-oriented work.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
- The role requires flexibility in working days, including weekends and holidays, depending on operational needs.
- Ability to handle the physical demands of working in a kitchen, including lifting and moving delivered goods.
