Job purpose and Impact
As a Business Application Specialist, you will design, develop, and maintain Interface EAAA business applications, primarily within the functional areas of Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Planning. Your work will help ensure our processes run as efficiently as possible across Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia (EAAA).
The Business Application Specialist is part of the EAAA Enterprise Application Team in Scherpenzeel and will report to the Director Enterprise Applications.
The responsibilities consist of:
Design & Configure
Conduct business process and requirements analyses, including preliminary cost/benefit evaluations to ensure IT solutions align with business needs.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to assess requests, identify potential application solutions, review impacts on existing processes, and determine the most effective approach.
Write functional specifications for configuration and/or development, and work with external developers when needed.
Perform configuration activities for projects, issue resolution, and functional enhancements.
Test and deliver changes to business counterparts for validation and approval.
Support process changes by integrating them with existing systems and effectively communicating updates to impacted teams.
Participate in business-IT projects from design through implementation and administration.
Maintain & Improve Systems
Provide structured support for existing applications by analyzing and resolving issues.
Perform root cause analysis and recommend sustainable solutions to improve system reliability and performance.
Bridge between Business & IT
Act as a liaison between business and IT to document and deliver solution designs, with a focus on process improvement and technical feasibility.
Partner with internal and external solution providers to ensure high-quality delivery.
Ensure compliance with SOX and quality standards and use these frameworks to drive improvements in processes and controls.

A salary appropriate to your level of expertise and position (following our grading system)
38 paid time off, which includes 25 days statutory leave and 13 additional days (It is also possible to exchange your extra days for 5.26% more salary)

You bring a strong mix of expertise, curiosity and ownership. With solid experience in JD Edwards, you're comfortable working across both technical and functional domains. You enjoy connecting with different stakeholders and translating complex needs into practical solutions. You value collaboration, take initiative, and communicate clearly in both Dutch and English. You're energized by working in a diverse, international environment where continuous improvement is part of the culture.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, IT or similar.
3-5 years of hands-on experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
Confident in using JD Edwards tools (incl. OMW).
Fluent in English and Dutch (spoken and written).
Strong communication skills and a structured, self-starting approach.
Skilled in navigating business processes and integrated systems like Cloud Inventory / middleware.
Preffered
- Experience with JD Edwards implementations in Manufacturing and/or Planning.
- A broad perspective on system landscapes and the ability to assess long-term value and impact.
- Affinity with global projects and a desire to grow toward more strategic or leadership roles.
