The Product

eShepherd is our breakthrough virtual fencing technology, enabling farmers to monitor, move, and manage cattle from anywhere.
Using GPS-enabled neckbands, powered by solar, farmers can create digital fence lines from their phone, transforming how land is used, reducing labour, and improving both environmental and animal welfare outcomes.

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Business Development Manager based in Wageningen, Netherlands, to help bring eShepherd to more European farmers. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their AgTech or agricultural sales career to grow with a leading innovation in livestock farming.
What You’ll be Doing
- Support engagement with farmers and industry stakeholders
- Assist in driving adoption and revenue growth of eShepherd across Europe
- Help qualify and convert inbound leads into customers
- Contribute to market entry and customer acquisition strategies
- Gather feedback to inform product development
- Collaborate with Customer Success for smooth onboarding
- Represent Gallagher at selected industry events
- Work with marketing and sales teams to support campaigns
- Provide basic market and competitor insights
Initially, this will look like
- Supporting early adopter farm engagement in key European markets
- Assisting in go-to-market planning
- Helping convert pilot customers and gather feedback
- Building a pipeline of leads and partnerships
- Participating in AgTech events to build awareness
The Fit
You’re passionate about agriculture and technology, and eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment. You’re a confident communicator who enjoys working with farmers and industry professionals, and you’re ready to take the next step in your career.
To succeed, you’ll need:
- Some experience or strong interest in AgTech or livestock farming
- Exposure to business development or customer-facing roles
- A collaborative and proactive mindset
- Strong communication skills
- Fluency in English (additional European languages a plus)
- Willingness to travel across Europe
- A degree or diploma in Agriculture, Business, or Marketing is a plus
