Introduction to the job
As a Competency Technician your mission is to optimize and maintain the Service Lab by working closely together with peers to ensure a smooth introduction of new processes and equipment for wafers, reticles and pellicles. As a competence process technician you are responsible for maintaining the technical process quality and availability. You supervise correct process execution. You correct technical issues and/or support engineering in solving issues. You will do this within the department that we call ''The Service Lab''. In the Service Lab wafers and reticles are prepared for exposure, processed after exposure, measured and recycled. Purpose of the Processing & Metrology lab is to supply waferprocessing services (coat/develop/recycle) for ASML’s production process. The structures on the exposed wafers, required for the scanner calibration and qualification, are measured and qualified with metrology equipment like electron microscopes or scaterometers.
Role and responsibilities
In this role you will have the following responsibilities:
Propose and contribute to improvements and introduction of processes.
Work closely together with the colleague engineers and the different interfacing departments Development, Customer Support & Production Engineering to ensure smooth introductions of new (photo resist) wafer processes, reticles, pellicles and/or metrology way of workings in Service Lab Operations by executing design requirements on manufacturability and serviceability.
Create & maintain work instructions according to standards applicable. Create and give knowledge transfers to operators.
Trouble shoot wafer, reticle, pellicle and equipment issues (1th Line support).
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives such as cycle time reduction, defect reduction, cost reductions (wafer consumption) continuous improvement all within the scope and related to optimization of Service Lab Operations.
Education and experience
To be qualified for this position we expect you to bring:
A vocational or bachelor degree in a technical field such as Chemical / Processing / Optics / Mechanics
Relevant working experience w.r.t. development applications and/or manufacturing processes in a high tech environment.
Experience in the field of technical production engineering and quality methodology such as statistical process control and FMEA is an advantage.
General Lithography experience in the field of wafer processing: photoresist processing, cleaning, metrology (CD, Overlay)

Other information
In this position you will be working in a support rooster. This means you have a 38 hour workweek which is in shifts. One week you will be working the morning shift (06.30-15.30) and the other the evening shift (15.00-00.00).This is for 4 days a week. Once a month you will be working the weekend shift, which is on Saturday and Sunday (07.00-16.00). You will receive a shift allowance for this position.
For this position, the indicative (fixed) annual salary range is between 51.000 euro and 57.000 euro. This range comprises vacation allowance and a 13th-month payment. Company profit sharing and shift allowance are not included in this range. The actual compensation offered will depend on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: job-related skills, relevant education and (work) experience, certifications, demonstrated abilities of the candidate, pay relative to other team members. This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.).
