The Opportunity
We are looking for a Compliance Analyst to join our Compliance team in Amsterdam as part of our financial services business in The Netherlands. This is for an initial fixed term contract of 6 months.
As part of the global expansion of the Maples Group’s financial services offering, our Amsterdam office opened its doors in 2015. We have achieved good growth since with the Maples infrastructure and network supporting us to deliver the best-in-class solutions to clients worldwide alongside our colleagues in legal services.
Key Duties
The role of the Compliance Analyst is a varied and wide-ranging role. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- working with the Compliance Officer to ensure all required record keeping and administrative matters are handled;
- liaising with the business on day-to-day customer due diligence/Know Your Customer questions and maintaining the log of outstanding Compliance matters;
- executing test sheets for Compliance monitoring and testing and provide findings to Compliance and the business, maintaining a log of findings;
- learning to track and analyse data to support testing and monitoring;
- becoming knowledgeable of the systems used by MFS to ensure effective and efficient monitoring; and
- learning to undertake transaction monitoring.
Requirements
In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:
- Up to 2 years of current/previous experience in a similar role preferred (Financial Services experience) preferred
- Good communication skills
- Fluent English
- Certifications in financial crime and/or regulatory subjects will be an advantage
- Knowledge of Dutch regulations will be an advantage
- Competent in Word and Excel
