Are you an experienced and detail-oriented Customs Declarant with solid knowledge of customs regulations and a passion for logistics? We are looking for an independent Customs Declarant to strengthen a team located at the Maasvlakte in Rotterdam. In this full-time position (40 hours per week), you will be jointly responsible for the safe and compliant handling of goods, identifying irregularities related to customs matters and reporting them to the supervisor. Your main tasks include clearing goods transported by container and archiving documentation in accordance with AEO requirements. You are reliable, precise, and act as a key contact for both internal and external parties regarding customs formalities.
The following tasks will be part of your job:
- Identify irregularities related to customs matters and report them to the supervisor;
- handle customs clearance for goods transported by container;
- serve as an internal and external point of contact for customs formalities;
- process administrative tasks and archive documentation in compliance with AEO regulations;
- apply basic knowledge of forwarding, transport, and logistics.
Do you have?
- Full-time availability (40 hours per week);
- experience with the MC Office system;
- proven work experience and up-to-date knowledge of customs legislation;
- strong attention to detail and accuracy;
- MBO-level declarant diploma (or equivalent).
