What the job involves:
- Leading and coaching the Customs team
- Ensuring accurate and timely execution of all customs activities, including declarations and bonded warehouse administration
- Acting as key-user of the Customs Software application and coordinating reports, reconciliations, and payments
- Contributing to policy, procedures, and improvement projects in coordination with the Customs Manager Netherlands
- Supporting customs audits (such as AEO) and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
- Managing (in)direct representation agreements and ensuring annual reviews
- Identifying risks and deviations, and contributing to corrective and preventive actions
- Maintaining good relationships with clients (internal and external), customs authorities, and other governmental bodies
Who we are looking for:
- You have at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a customs or logistics environment
- You have strong knowledge of national and international customs regulations, VAT legislation, and customs software programs
- You have excellent command of the Dutch and English language; French is a plus
- You have experience working with cross-functional teams and are capable of setting priorities in a dynamic environment
