Digital Paid Media Traineeship (starting October 2025)
We’re looking for 8 curious minds who are ready to dive into the fast-paced, creative, and always-evolving world of digital media. In just 3 months, you’ll learn everything you need to become a Digital Media Analyst. We’ll train you in Social, Video, and (Programmatic) Display advertising, but really, digital media is every form of advertising you see online. When you complete the traineeship, you’ll officially level up into a Media Analyst role at dentsu and continue your career path with us.
We’re looking for enthusiastic people who want to learn, experiment, and grow. You don’t need to know everything yet, you’ll develop your skills here, but you do need the drive to take ownership, be accountable, ask questions, and not be afraid to make mistakes. What is Digital Media?
Digital media is everywhere: the TikTok ad you can’t skip, the campaign that pops up on Pinterest, the banner you see when scrolling news sites, or the YouTube pre-roll that makes you laugh. What will you do?
The traineeship is intense, but that’s what makes it exciting. In just three months you’ll:
- Learn the theory, but jump into real campaigns fast;
- Get hands-on with the biggest ad platforms;
- Set up, run, and optimize Social, Video, and Display campaigns;
- Experiment, fail fast, and learn even faster;
- Build soft skills like accountability, collaboration, and problem-solving that will stay with you your whole career.
After 3 months, you’ll roll straight into the role of Media Analyst, running campaigns for major clients in the Netherlands and Belgium. In this role, you’ll focus on paid media — combining the business/analytical side (finding target audiences, working with data in Excel, optimizing campaigns) with the creative/strategic side (deciding what to communicate and how to position ads). To be clear, this traineeship is not about designing visuals, but about making ads work and deliver impact.
What we expect from you:
- HBO+ level thinking (a degree is nice, but an entrepreneurial mindset or relevant experience also counts);
- No prior work experience required, just lots of enthusiasm;
- You like working with numbers, spotting patterns, and making sense of data;
- Curious about how social platforms and systems work, you want to actually understand them;
- Curious about AI: comfortable writing prompts and open to experimenting (basic scripting is a plus);
- Accurate, but also experimental, you don’t freeze up if things go wrong. Enthusiastic, and accountable;
- Someone who asks questions, challenges the status quo, and brings energy;
- Fluent in English (spoken and written is a must). Dutch is a big plus;
- Ready to be in the Amsterdam office 5 days a week during your traineeship (you’ll learn way faster from the people around you).
