This is an exciting opportunity to join Avantor as the European Tax Manager (m/w/d) in the Netherlands and be at the forefront of our new function!

Reporting to the Sr. Director, International Tax, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, while strategically planning and overseeing our European activities.

What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in taxation, economics, finance, law, or related field.
- Extensive experience in corporate income tax.
- Preferably experienced in a multinational group.
- Certified Tax Advisor qualification is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Dutch tax laws and compliance.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and structured approach.
- Collaborative, solution-driven, and proactive.
- Open and adaptable, thriving in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
How you will thrive and create an impact:
- Manage Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and Secondary Tax filings.
- Oversee tax compliance processes and collaborate with external advisors.
- Supervise annual CIT in partnership with external advisors, ensuring robust tax planning and compliance.
- Liaise with Statutory Auditors and manage compliance costs.
- Communicate with Tax Authorities and handle tax audits, appeals, and dispute resolutions.
- Research and draft tax advice, monitor changes in tax law, and provide recommendations.
- Participate in financial due diligence for acquisitions and integrate tax processes.
- Collaborate with Finance and Tax teams to drive consistency and identify areas for improvement.
