Your Role as a Executive Operations Officer
You’ll work directly with our CEO and the Non-Executive Council. You’re not just supporting, you’re leading, fixing, improving, and connecting across the WMDA. Your work ensures that the mission runs smoothly, people stay aligned, and ideas turn into action. This is more than just an executive support role: you’ll be a key driver of operational excellence, project execution, and cross-functional collaboration at the heart of a global, mission-driven organisation.
Strategic Planning & CEO Support
- Act as a right hand to the CEO, providing strategic and operational support
- Preparing presentations, plans and communication (in English)
- Support grant and reporting timelines
- Carry out ‘any other duties’ assigned by the Non-Executive Council (Raad van Toezicht)
- Manage the CEO’s agenda, international travel, and board coordination
Business Operations & Compliance
- Keep contracts, documents, and internal processes compliant and organised
- Improve internal systems and workflows
- Coordinate WMDA-wide initiatives and projects
- Be the first point of contact for operational issues across the WMDA team
- Jump in where needed (e.g, peak load, absences)
Cross-functional Execution
- Collaborate on fundraising and due diligence efforts
- Liaise with Corporate Members and key external partners
- Prepare materials for grants, reports and investor documents (pitch decks, reports, etc.)
- Help keep cross-functional projects running smoothly (IT, operations, and WMDA mission pillars)
- Spot issues before they become problems and help solving them
- Organise internal offsites, workshops, and (team) events
- Chair meetings when needed, and make sure things move forward
What You Bring
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
- 3-5 years in executive operations, project management, or business support
- Some knowledge of HR, IT-coordination, compliance or legal/contract management is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch
