As the Global Head of Product Management & Development, you will lead the product function and you will be responsible for shaping and executing the global product strategy, overseeing the full product lifecycle, and driving innovation, operational efficiency, and enhanced collaboration across regions and functions with a strong focus on client-centricity. You drive the product strategy and development process in close collaboration with key stakeholders such as Distribution & Marketing and Investments. You will collaborate closely with departments such as Legal, Compliance Risk Management and Operations to ensure that our products meet the highest standards and align with the needs of clients worldwide.
This role will lead a global team of approximately 20 international professionals, guiding the development and optimization of a high-quality, competitive, and product offering that meets client needs and supports the firm’s long-term growth ambitions. The team is based in Rotterdam and Hong Kong.
The Product Management department is organized sub teams:

- Institutional Product development (4 people)
- Product Strategy and Projects (3 people)
- Regulatory & Data (6 People)
- Asia Pacific (2 People)
The position of Global Head Product Management & Development is member of the management team of the Strategic Product & Business Development domain.

Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Innovation
- Define and drive Robeco’s long-term product strategy in alignment with the corporate strategy, market trends, economic cycles and client needs, in close collaboration with Sales & marketing and Investments
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable product roadmaps and innovation pipelines that are aligned with key stakeholders
- Identify and prioritize product opportunities based on client needs, market trends, and competitive analysis.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics to proactively adjust product strategy.
Product Lifecycle Management
- Implement and oversee the full lifecycle of products—from ideation and feasibility to launch, monitoring, and closure.
- Ensure timely and successful delivery of new products and enhancements to existing offerings.
- Maintain a robust product governance framework, including documentation, approvals, and controls.
- Monitor product performance and client satisfaction & feedback to inform continuous improvement to the existing product offering.
- Drive the prospectus management process ensuring quality and speed in close collaboration with all stakeholders
- Lead product rationalization efforts to optimize the product offering and eliminate underperforming offerings that don’t meet client needs.
Team Leadership
- Lead, inspire, and manage a high-performing global team across multiple locations.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and client-centric culture within the product function.
- Promote a culture of innovation by encouraging experimentation and forward-thinking ideas.
- Move towards data driven insights, decision making and process optimization
- Promote continuous learning and cross-functional knowledge-sharing.
- Budget management, FTE planning, and strategic capacity development.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, investment teams, distribution, operations, legal/compliance, and marketing, the Fund Boards and ORIX Europe.
- Strengthen internal collaboration and transparency between the product function and the broader organization.
- Represent the product function in cross-functional governance forums and committees.
Requirements
- Seasoned professional in the financial services field with a minimum of 20 years of experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in asset management, with significant exposure to Product Management & Development, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strategic thinker with excellent execution and organizational skills
- Proven track record of leading teams and delivering product innovation.
- Strong understanding of asset classes, client segments, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., UCITS, SFDR, MiFID II) and product wrappers across jurisdictions.
- Strong communicator with ability to influence across levels and functions.
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
