Group R&D
Consumer trends, ingredients, supply, and regulations are evolving quickly in the food industry and especially in confectionary. R&D is in the center of those which requires to adapt quickly and interact internally and externally with a broad range of stakeholders.
Equally new technologies and capabilities are arising constantly and impose frequent technology survey.
The role
The role of Group Tablet Candy Technologist is responsible to drive New Product Development projects, Technology Platforms and Technological support under the supervision of the Group Tablet Candy Senior Manager. A role which always has the aim to contribute to a higher quality level and/or efficiency of the existing production processes. In this role you will assist in the start-up of new production processes to increase the global PvM product portfolio. Additionally, you will be mentoring the junior technologist.

Our perfect candidate
Ideally you have a Master, Bachelor’s degree (WO) or Higher vocational education (HBO) in Food Technology, Chemical Technology or another scientific education and minimum 3 years of experience in FMCG ((relevant) products and processes) as Jr. Technologist or a similar technologist function. During your career you have developed:
• Know-how in confectionary area, especially in the category assigned.
• Know-how of raw materials and its functions
• Know-how of relevant processes
• Preferable Lean manufacturing (green belt)
• Good project management skills (Plan & Time)
• Good communications skills
• Good level of English to sustain technical discussions and report progress
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, complete tasks to deadlines
• Ability to work on multiple projects, prioritize, monitor the progress by using PvM software
• Collaborate in cross functional projects with a variety of stakeholders
• Ability to think out of the box to solve process challenges (creativity)
• Ability to gather and analyse process and quality data with statistical software
• Hands-on mentality
