Introduction to the job
As the Head of Global Mobility Services at ASML, you will led all end-to-end business and travel operations globally—including visas, compliance, international local hires, business travel, housing, fleet, and hotel management. You will be responsible for setting the global vendor strategy, overseeing Travel & Expenses Policy, and driving continuous improvement across systems and processes. Ensuring compliance in immigration, social security, and tax is central to this role, while also optimizing the mobile employee experience. As a member of the Global People Operations Leadership Team, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across HR, Finance, Risk, and Compliance to enable sustainable global growth and operational excellence.
Role and responsibilities
As Head of Global Mobility Services, you will ensure ASML’s global mobility and travel operations are compliant, scalable, and employee-focused. You will lead the transformation of service delivery, balancing short-term business needs with long-term strategic goals. In this role, you will:
Monitor key metrics to assess service performance and drive global standardization, simplification, and operational efficiency
Lead the global business travel program, ensuring compliance with tax, immigration, social security, and posted worker regulations
Oversee the execution of global mobility policies and handle complex escalations in coordination with payroll, tax, HR, C\&B, and external vendors
Build scalable infrastructure, set global standards, and implement systems and metrics to support consistent, high-quality delivery
Lead and develop a global team of 100+ employees and outsourced partners, ensuring strong engagement and future readiness
Ensure compliance with GDPR, SOx, and internal control requirements across all areas of global mobility and travel
Represent the function in the People Operations Leadership Team, contributing to strategic direction and global alignment
Own and manage a vendor and operations budget of \~€243M, balancing cost, service quality, and scalability
Education and experience
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, international relations, law or related fields. Preferably having master’s degree (e.g., MBA or Master’s in HR/Global Mobility)
Certifications such as: GMS (Global Mobility Specialist)
10–15+ years in HR or Global Mobility, with at least 5–7 years in leadership roles
Proven experience in managing international assignments, expatriate programs, and immigration compliance
Strong background in policy development, vendor management, and cross-border tax and legal compliance
Experience working with multiple regions (e.g., EMEA, APAC, Americas)
Familiarity with mobility technology platforms (e.g., Workday, ServiceNow)
