Keysight Device Security Lab (former Riscure) is an ambitious unit specializing in device and embedded security testing for leading international clients from the semiconductor, mobile, media, automotive and IoT industry.
About the Internship
You will work closely with the team, gain experience and actively contribute to the technical topics in the security domain. Some examples of the activities in practice are programming, experimentation with hardware designs, reporting, discussion in teams, presentation of results, eating meals in our great canteen. You will be part of the Innovation /Knowledge and services unit/ Products unit based on the topic. You will be supported by different team members such as supervisor, domain owners, analysts, innovators, developers etc. There is flexibility offered with internship- can be 3 months (minimum) or even a thesis (6 months) with extension if need be.

Types of Internships
- Technical research: you would work on a research topic that focuses on answering a small set of questions. This usually entails research and development. The topic could be related to FI, SCA, embedded security, system security, software or cross-domain.
- Development: If you have a zeal to make something a.k.a working in an agile fashion and a load of coding, you can be part of the development team.

Investigate data-dependent impedance variations in integrated circuits' power distribution networks (PDN) as a novel side-channel attack vector for extracting secret information. This research internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in hardware security, with a specific focus on RF measurements and cutting-edge side-channel analysis techniques.
- Security Research: Depending on the role, tasks may involve vulnerability analysis through methods like reverse engineering, fuzzing, or hardware attacks (e.g., fault injection or side-channel analysis). Interns will have the chance to engage in penetration testing and contribute to the security of critical components, including those found in mobile devices.
- Documentation: Writing technical documentation, setting up testing environments, and managing repositories for communication and issue tracking are common responsibilities

- Interns will collaborate closely with mentors and cross-functional teams, actively participating in dynamic weekly discussions.

General requirements:
- Availability of minimum of 6 months, at least 4 days a week
- You are enrolled as a Bachelor/Master/PhD student
