Inland Operations Agent METT
Maersk ETT team is responsible for planning and coordinating transports within the Rotterdam Port Area related to Transhipments and Crossdock/Coldstore. In this role you will be able to make an impact in our new Gemini network, as well as contribute to our Integrator Strategy.
What you will be doing
On Transhipments, you will take care of connecting containers between Rotterdam deepsea terminals. Mainly on a Maersk chartered barge and 3rd party barges, but also you coordinate with truck and rail planners to use those assets as well. You will aim to minimize dwell time at terminals and prevent downfall to mainline vessel by good coordination with involved stakeholders. Also you will plan and execute on Offdocking from APMT Rotterdam to Inland Terminals in order to keep the yard density at APMT Rotterdam below critical levels.
On Crossdock/Coldstore, you will take care of just-in-time truck delivery of containers from all Rotterdam deepsea terminals to and from these new facilities. You will mainly be using 12hr truck shifts, and with good and efficient planning maximize transports executed in these shifts. Furthermore, shifts offer flexibility to make amendments during the day when you need to prioritize urgent containers that fell out of a happy flow.
You will join daily and/or weekly calls to align with stakeholders on execution. You will prepare on successfully onboarding new business and timely spot and anticipate on challenges.
