The PGGM CETS team is looking for enthusiastic interns to join us for a period of three months and contribute to our mission of accelerating the climate and energy transition through growth capital and private equity investments. The preferred starting date is September or October.
As an intern:
- You’ll support all phases of the investment process, from market research and sourcing to due diligence, valuation, execution, and portfolio company support.
- You’ll gain hands-on experience in analysing high-growth companies focused on climate and energy solutions, building financial models, and preparing investment materials.
- You’ll work closely with a small and fast-growing team, and engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including founders, advisors, and like-minded-investors.
Jouw afdeling binnen PGGM
The Climate and Energy Transition Solutions (CETS) team manages a dedicated €1 billion investment mandate launched by PGGM in 2024. The strategy focuses on European growth capital and direct private equity investments in companies that enable or benefit from the climate and energy transition.
CETS invests across six investment themes:
- Green energy & electrification
- Grid solutions
- Circularity
- Smart cities & energy efficiency
- Sustainable fuels
- Carbon solutions
The CETS team currently consists of four investment professionals and has already invested in four high-growth companies. The fast-growing team is entrepreneurial, impact-driven, and focused on combining financial performance with measurable climate impact.
Jouw achtergrond
- Strong analytical and numerical skills; academic background in business, economics, finance, STEM or related fields preferred;
- Broadly developed through extracurriculars such as internships, committee roles, entrepreneurship, top-level sports or volunteering;
- Curious, hands-on, internationally oriented, and eager to work on climate solutions;
- Enrolled at or recently graduated from a Dutch university;
- Fluent in English; Dutch is not required.
