As Sales & Global Port Coordinator, you work in a team of 8 people in the head office of the Marine Care Group. You handle requests from international end customers (shipping companies, technical managers and operators) and trading partners. This position ensures internal coordination between departments, accurate and timely execution of logistical tasks, and supports ongoing improvements in workflow and resource management.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Handling inquiries and providing after-sales assistance
- Liaising and negotiating with both customers and suppliers on price, delivery and conditions
- Coordinate delivery orders and support agents and distributors
Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ownership and follow-through on assigned tasks
- Capable to prioritizy by time zone and expectd lead time
- Ability to handle daily stress situations and work accurately at the same time
- Fluent in English, both verbal and writing
- Dutch resident
- Not afraid to be proactive and take tough decisions in order to make delivery within a given lead time
- Easily adjusting to changing situations, supportive to colleagues, suppliers, and other third-party persons calling the office on a daily basis
- Able to understand nuances and cultural impacts on global trade.
- Ideal position for a candidate who is ambitious and able to work in an independent environment
- Willing to work 1 week every 8 weeks in standby duty (after office hours + weekend)
Required education:
MBO/HBO level
Required experience:
- Knowledge of maritime industry and logistics with minimum of 1-3 years experience
- Experience with MS Office is mandatory, SAP software is an advantage
- Creative, innovative & outside the box thinking
- Mastering the English language fluently, Dutch is a pro
- Shipping mentality
- Improvisation skills
