The Schippers Group keeps growing. That’s why we’re looking for an entrepreneurial and creative _R&D Nutritionist_ (full-time) to help us develop smarter feed concepts for healthier animals. Less antibiotics, lower infection pressure, stronger immunity — that’s our goal.
With smart concepts and proven solutions, we make a global impact. And as a nutritionist, you can contribute to that from day one.
Together with 16 other R&D colleagues, you’ll develop innovative nutritional products for professional livestock farmers. Think feed supplements, water additives, and other advanced concepts for pigs, poultry, and cattle.
What are you going to do?
As our R&D Nutritionist, you will:
- Develop new products, from concept to commercial launch;
- Lead development and research projects (both in-house and with external partners);
- Stay up to date with the latest scientific insights, techniques, and trends;
- Run lab trials and field tests, including at our own research farms;
- Collaborate closely with suppliers, universities, knowledge institutes, and production.
Your nutritional solutions help livestock farmers:
- Strengthen animal immunity;
- Reduce infections and disease;
- Cut antibiotic use and fight antimicrobial resistance (AMR) long-term.
What we are looking for?
- MSc in Animal Nutrition or similar;
- At least 5 years of experience as a nutritionist or product developer in feed;
- Broad and deep knowledge of nutrition for both monogastrics (pigs, poultry) and ruminants;
- Experience with feed formulation and linear programming (e.g. Bestmix);
- Strong project management skills;
- Proactive, solution-focused mindset;
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
