About the Role

As Sales Manager for our Challenger Brands division at West Coast Supply Group, you’ll take the lead in driving commercial growth for a fast-moving portfolio of emerging FMCG brands. This is a hands-on, entrepreneurial leadership role where you manage key customer relationships, steer the sales strategy, and coach your team to deliver results in a competitive retail environment.

You will be part of a high-energy division within West Coast Supply Group that brings bold, fast-growing brands to market across Europe. Our ideal candidate combines strong retail experience with commercial acumen, thrives in a scale-up culture, and knows what it takes to win in a dynamic, brand-driven landscape.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the sales strategy for the Challenger Brands division, focusing on margin and revenue growth.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a growing sales team with clear performance objectives and development paths.
  • Manage a selection of key accounts (retailers, distributors), including the acquisition of new customers and successful handover to team members.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Trade Marketing to align brand plans with customer strategies and channel execution.
  • Ensure operational excellence by improving workflows between sales, supply chain, and customer service.
  • Oversee customer terms, credit note processes, and support financial forecasting.
  • Monitor retail trends and competitor activity, translating insights into actionable growth opportunities.
  • Drive process improvements to support scalable sales execution and improve cost efficiency
  • Represent the division in cross-functional leadership discussions and support broader group strategy.
  • Safeguard compliance and commercial discipline within the team.


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of sales experience in FMCG, ideally with branded retail accounts or challenger brand portfolios.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing and developing international sales teams (B2B/B2B2C).
  • Commercial mindset with a strong grasp of pricing, margins, and P&L impact.
  • Experience working across functions such as supply chain, finance, and marketing.
  • Familiarity with the pace and mindset of scale-up or entrepreneurial environments.
  • Fluent in English; other European languages are a plus.
  • Hands-on, structured, and solution-oriented approach with strong execution power.
