We’re on the hunt for a freelance Senior CRO Specialist to become an integral part of our Digital Sales team. You’ll be the go-to CRO expert in-house, working across five unique B2B brands and platforms. Our customers range from passionate hobbyists to enterprise-level decision-makers — all looking for seamless, intuitive digital journeys.
This role requires a mix of data-savviness, sharp UX instincts, and stakeholder finesse. You’ll collaborate across disciplines, lead experimentation pipelines, and coach junior staff, all while delivering measurable impact.
What You'll Be Doing
Conversion Rate Optimization
- Own the optimization of our in-house shopping cart across multiple brands.
- Identify, prioritize, and execute high-impact conversion experiments.
- Design, run, and analyse A/B & multivariate tests using VWO.
Data, Tracking & Evaluation
- Analyse and report on user behaviour across multiple channels and platforms.
- Independently evaluate tracking implementations, troubleshoot pixel & server-side issues, and collaborate with external tracking agencies.
- Ensure data integrity and champion structured testing frameworks.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Report CRO outcomes to both operational and executive-level stakeholders.
- Build alignment across departments through strategic insights and transparent communication.
- Validate test proposals and evangelize a hypothesis-first mindset.
Coaching & Knowledge Sharing
- Mentor UX designers and marketers in CRO methodologies.
- Coach junior team members in data tools, reporting, and experimentation.
- Champion a culture of experimentation and research — no assumptions, only validated learning.
What You Bring
Hard Skills
- Proven experience optimizing ecommerce funnels and shopping carts.
- Hands-on proficiency with VWO (Visual Website Optimizer) or similar testing tools.
- Advanced skills in analytics platforms (GA4, Looker Studio, or Tableau).
- Knowledge of tracking architectures, including tag managers, server-side tagging, and pixels.
- Ability to create comprehensive dashboards and testing reports.
Soft Skills
- A researcher mindset: data before opinions, and hypotheses before hunches.
- Excellent stakeholder management: from C-level to operations.
- Passion for mentoring and coaching team members.
- Strong communication skills and a knack for simplifying the complex.

- Identify friction points and low-hanging fruit using heatmaps, recordings, and funnel data.
- Set up a structured testing calendar.
- Deliver bi-weekly tests: headlines, CTA placement, layout experiments, etc.
- Implement experiment reporting framework.
- Build dashboards with consolidated CRO performance KPIs.
- Visualize experiment ROI, user behaviour trends, and test pipeline status.
- Evaluate current pixel, tagging, and event tracking setup.
- Create implementation and improvement plan (in collaboration with agency partners).
- Train marketing and UX colleagues in CRO fundamentals.
- Host bi-weekly CRO stand-ups and knowledge sessions.
- Create a central documentation hub for learnings, best practices, and hypothesis templates.
- Standardize experimentation methodology across brands.
