Fugro is on a mission to strengthen supplier contracting and proactively manage supplier-related risks as part of our global procurement strategy. To support this ambition, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced (Senior) Legal Counsel Procurement to join our Global Procurement team at our new head office in Nootdorp, the Netherlands.
As a key member of both the Legal & Compliance team and the Global Procurement team, you will serve as a trusted legal advisor, collaborating closely with procurement professionals and business stakeholders across all levels of the organization. Your legal insight will be instrumental in shaping strategic sourcing decisions, enhancing contract governance, and mitigating supplier-related risks. Fugro’s Global Procurement team works in close coordination with country and regional teams, who drive procurement activities at the local level. In 2024, the department oversaw approximately €1.2 billion in global spend across 15,000 suppliers. The Legal Procurement team, led by the Head of Legal Procurement, provides legal support across global and local operations and includes two global legal counsels and two regional contract specialists. The role will report to the Head of Legal Procurement.

Your Role
You draft, review, negotiate, and advise on procurement contracts in the field of ICT, third-party personnel, and corporate (professional) services. This includes global/framework agreements, master services agreements, purchase orders, terms & conditions, software license agreements, memoranda of understanding, and confidentiality agreements;
You handle a wide range of procurement-related legal issues in an international and fast-paced environment;
You cooperate closely with internal stakeholders such as procurement, business units, tax, insurance, and ICT to ensure alignment and legal compliance;
You enhance contract efficiency by developing, updating, and promoting the use of standardized procurement templates and procedures;
You promote the role of the Procurement department and foster good contract management practices across the organization, including delivering training sessions.
Your Track Record
You have earned a law degree from a reputable university;
You bring a minimum of 5 years’ experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial (B2B) contracts including ICT agreements. Ideally acquired within a large multinational organization operating in an international context;
You can navigate multi-jurisdictional contracting with confidence;
You are able to build and maintain relationships and raise awareness on legal issues in a constructive and cooperative manner;
It would be an advantage if you have experience with third-party personnel service agreements (engagement of temporary workers directly or via an agency) and with professional service agreements (e.g., consultancy agreements, engagement of auditors and tax advisors, etc.);
You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, and can communicate legal concepts clearly and effectively across diverse audiences. Dutch language is an advantage.

Based on your relevant experience, the salary ranges from €6.550 to €8.100;
