Job Description
Rituals is growing rapidly, expanding across retail, e-commerce, and wholesale channels throughout Europe and beyond. In preparation for the opening of our brand-new omni-channel distribution center within the next 1.5 to 2 years, we are building a future-proof logistics operation.
This role operates in a fast-paced, omni-channel logistics environment where the ability to deliver on time, cost-efficiently, and at scale is critical to business success. As Rituals continues to grow, the Senior Manager Logistics Planning will help shape entirely new logistics planning processes and tools that support our future logistics footprint—including the transition to a new omni-channel distribution center. This requires balancing day-to-day operational demands with the long-term development of a robust, data-driven capacity strategy. It also means leading logistics planning innovation in close alignment with supply chain, IT, and external partners to ensure seamless service during times of change.
The Senior Manager Logistics Planning plays a key strategic role in this transformation. You will consolidate inbound and outbound logistics needs from various channels into a clear, actionable capacity plan—ensuring the optimal balance between capacity, cost, and performance across our third-party logistics network. Your work directly impacts operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and our ability to scale effectively.
This role is measured on forecast accuracy, capacity utilization versus plan, storage cost control, and reporting quality. You report directly to the Director Logistics Operations and collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Supply Planning, Inventory, S&OE, Supply Chain Development, and Business Technology. You also maintain direct relationships with external logistics service providers—negotiating contracts and ensuring business continuity across the network.
Your key responsibilities
- Capacity Planning: Collect, analyze, and consolidate forecast data (weekly) from stakeholders such as Supply Planning, S&OE, and Inventory, translating this into concrete capacity plans for logistics providers.
- Forecast Accuracy: Drive alignment between plans and actuals. Continuously improve forecast accuracy and capacity utilization to control costs and support business growth.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as a critical link between internal teams (Operations, Supply Chain, Control) and external logistics providers—ensuring clear communication, alignment, and timely escalations.
- Strategic Projects: Lead the design and rollout of new capacity planning processes in preparation for the new omni-channel DC. Contribute to broader logistics innovation and system integration.
- Reporting & Analysis: Own the reporting framework. Prepare insights, analyses, and proposals that support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 7–12 years of experience in logistics planning, preferably in a retail or omni-channel environment.
- Proven leadership in logistics forecasting, capacity modeling, and stakeholder management.
- Strong analytical mindset with hands-on experience using Excel, Power BI, D365; knowledge of VBA, SQL and Gen AI is a plus.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to operate under pressure and connect across all levels of the organization.
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
- MSc in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related technical/business discipline.
- Demonstrated affinity with LEAN, partner performance, and logistics IT systems.
