Opportunity Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and approachable individuals to join our event team as Session Scanners. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for attendees entering sessions and VIP areas. Your primary responsibility is to check attendee badges, ensure only authorised individuals gain entry, and provide a welcoming experience for all guests.
The role involves standing and light movement throughout the event. Event training and briefing will be provided prior to the start of your shift. Uniform/identification will be supplied.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet attendees warmly as they approach session entrances.
Scan and check badges to verify access permissions.
Politely deny entry to unauthorised individuals in restricted or VIP zones.
Provide general guidance and direct attendees to appropriate areas when needed.
Maintain a professional and friendly demeanour throughout the event.
Report any issues or concerns promptly to the Event Staffing Coordinator.
Remain standing and active throughout the duration of your shift.
Key Requirements:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Friendly, approachable, and confident in interacting with a diverse range of attendees.
Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods.
Ability to remain calm and professional when refusing entry to unauthorised guests.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to the full duration of the event.
Previous event experience is a plus, but not essential.
Position Type:
This is an event based contracted position. We have several contractors, event professional, and freelancer positions available, offering flexibility and autonomy.
Pay: Hourly rate €15/h
