Core Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the underwriting and (co-)management of an assigned book of business and its expansion. Your initial focus will be on Power, Renewables and Midstream Energy. You will also have the opportunity to expand into Construction (EAR/CAR).
- To maintain and develop relationships with brokers and clients throughout Northern Europe (Benelux, the Nordic countries and Germany).
- Keeping abreast of (technological) developments in your customers' segments, as well as relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Proactively support (y) for the successful execution of the Energy & Construction plan. Contribute to the delivery of the branch and global P&L on all key metrics.
- Promote and enhance both underwriting and operational excellence in collaboration with regional and global colleagues, including senior management.
- Provide our business partners with best-in-class service.
Core Competences:
- Extensive experience in the large corporate/international energy and/or construction insurance sector as an underwriter, broker or equivalent.
- Well established in the market with recognized client and broker relationships at peer level.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing, for the day-to-day execution of the role. Knowledge of German as an additional language is desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, law, business administration or a related field.
