Job Title: Tax Compliance Specialist
Job Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands (Full time on-site)
Main Responsibilities:
• To keep up to date with tax legislations, fulfill local tax obligations, safeguard compliance and coordinate the implementation of new legislations within the organization.
• To ensure tax compliance especially in the areas of corporate income tax, inter-company transaction, withholding tax, indirect tax, including the filing of tax returns and preparing of relevant tax documentation.
• To ensure alignment and relationship with tax authorities and independently manage tax enquiries and audits.
• To build a strong relationship with internal and externals stakeholders, particularly interconnect with the daily consulting work of external tax advisors, including consultant procurement, consulting budget/expense management, and consultant performance evaluation, and maintain a good cooperation relationship.
• To manage tax documents, including collecting WHT certificates for dividends and interest, applying for and providing tax residency certificates/beneficial owner statements, etc. Be responsible for archiving all tax documents in a complete and timely manner.
Requirements:
• University degree in Tax/ Finance or similar degree;
• Preferably 3+ Dutch and international tax experience. Knowledge in Dutch tax regulations, International Tax Laws, Regulations and Practices. Experience in multinational corporations / groups or “big four” is preferred;
• Combination of experience with tax accounting is much preferred;
• Good multi-cultural team spirit of cooperation, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment;
• Accurate, able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proficient in English (working language); Dutch language skills are a plus;
• Must be eligible to work and live in the Netherlands.
