Key Responsibilities:
1. Local Regulation Compliance & Policy Development
- Research and implement safety standards in accordance with local laws and business needs.
- Develop warehouse safety manuals and operational safety guidelines (e.g., for equipment and work procedures).
2. Safety Process & System Design
- Design safety systems for personnel, equipment, and operations.
- Align safety management practices with business expansion and operational requirements.
- Identify and optimize risk points in current workflows to improve safety procedures.
3. Risk Assessment & Hazard Control
- Evaluate workplace risks, equipment safety hazards, and personnel operation risks.
- Develop a tracking system for hazard identification, mitigation, and rectification.
- Implement multi-level risk management systems to ensure safety hazards are properly addressed.
4. Fire Safety & Emergency Management
- Regularly inspect firefighting materials and maintenance of fire equipment.
- Ensure clear and accessible emergency escape routes.
- Develop and execute fire safety plans and conduct fire drills to enhance emergency response capabilities.
5. Employee Safety Training
- Create and implement training plans covering legal awareness, operational standards, and emergency skills.
- Organize theory and practical safety assessments to identify weak areas and improve training effectiveness.
6. Incident Investigation & Reporting
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective measures.
- Prepare safety reports and coordinate with supervisors and regulatory bodies for follow-up actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in workplace safety, especially in logistics or warehousing.
- Familiar with local safety laws and international safety standards.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to conduct safety audits and manage cross-functional coordination.
- Certification in First Aid, Fire Safety, or other relevant credentials is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Based in a warehouse environment with regular walkthroughs of the operational area.
- Occasional travel to other facilities as required.
