Your impact at MUFG
As Business Manager CFO MBE you operate as a member of the CFO Business Management Team providing direct support to the CFO and, as necessary, other members of the CFO MT to ensure that the business has a ‘license to operate’. This support will take many forms including strategic and operational activities across a multitude of business disciplines. Responsibility for the key monitoring and reporting tasks on behalf of the CFO team within MBE and represent the CFO in meetings, as required/requested.
Your impact at MUFG
Specifically, you will be accountable and responsible for taking appropriate action with respect to the Company’s and MBE Finance, including:
Responsible for supporting the CFO in executing and documenting his responsibilities.
Responsible for supporting the MBE CFO in establishing and developing the strategy for the MBE Finance function.
Responsible for supporting the CFO in developing robust Finance organization (incl new tools / applications / solutions) to ensure the Finance function is able to meet and respond to new business plans, changing regulatory requirements, new products and volume shifts.
Responsible for working with the CFO, his management team and Corporate Communications to create and execute an MBE Finance-wide communications strategy.
Responsible to supporting the CFO in driving staff engagement and connectivity initiatives.
Responsible for supporting the CFO in performing oversight of how the business is run, including financial control, resource planning, governance and management information.
Responsible for supporting and challenging the budgeting and personnel management for the department.
Responsible for tracking and monitoring progress against (project) plans and budgets.
Responsible for providing strategic input and advice to the senior members of the department
Responsible for supporting the CFO in managing his workload ensuring timely responses to initiatives and the delegation of tasks.
Responsible for providing Management Information to senior members of the Finance and Data Management department, and to other parts of the group.
Responsible for delivering high-quality and pro-active support to MUFG’s business activities, assisting the firm to do business in the right way and to deliver its business strategy.
Responsible for supporting the CFO in ensuring key processes are run efficiently to deliver quality and reliable information, to support the firm’s business growth and control procedures.
Responsible for supporting the CFO and the management team in coordinating answering regulatory questions and performing other regulatory exercises for the Finance team.
Responsible for supporting the CFO and the management team in ensuring timely delivery of quality responses to actions from governance committees.
Maintain and enhance good working relationships with stakeholders, across the region and globally to share best practices, provide support and develop effective local policies and procedures appropriate to the Company, and working in support of the One MUFG and overall Group strategy.
In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:
Several years of relevant experience in the banking or financial industry.
You possess excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
You have a proactive, motivated, results driven mindset, with a strong sense of accountability over your area of ownership and the ability to operate with urgency and prioritise work accordingly.
You possess strong problem solving and decision making skills; a structured, logical, creative and innovative approach to work; and the ability to demonstrate sound judgement.
