The position
As a Customer Service Employee you play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and building long-term relationships with our customers. To this end, you will act as a central point of contact for the customer and continuously link between different parties: your own department, operations, transportation and sales to ensure that all customer requests are handled in a timely and satisfactory manner. In addition:
Maintain regular contact during operational hours (09.00-18.00h) between the customer and Operations to manage expectations and provide updates on priorities and incoming and outgoing orders;
Unique role where you work with a medical customer regarding planning & inventory control tasks on the work floor within the heart of the operation;
Analyze order & inventory flows, have a grip on customer processes (mainly related to short shelf-life products), and come up with efficient improvement proposals;
You are responsible for the operational and administrative handling of international shipments including setting prioritization, both inbound and outbound;
You provide various reports, focused on inventory and analyzing inventory needs, and are responsible for invoicing;
Identify leads from the customer and transfer them correctly to the Account Manager;
You report to the Teamlead Customer Service.

About Rhenus Warehousing Solutions Netherlands
Rhenus Warehousing Solutions Netherlands is currently active at seven locations and will expand to the Utrecht region in 2026. We offer a wide range of logistics services, including warehousing, order picking, and value-added services. In addition, we provide managed services such as customer service, import and export documentation, and sales support. In doing so, we take all logistical concerns off our customers’ hands.

What You Bring:
As a Customer Service Representative, you have a customer-focused mindset and the drive to always find the best possible solution for our clients. You have an MBO level 4 (or equivalent) working and thinking level and several years of experience in a similar role. In addition, you bring:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service;
A strong command of the English language, both written and spoken;
A background in logistics
