Introduction to the job
We are looking for a dynamic leader with experience for the position of Head of TWINSCAN Factory Operational Excellence. Reporting to the Head of TWINSCAN Factory (TF) as part of the TF Leadership team.
This position is responsible for supporting TF’s strategy on Operational Excellence and Quality. The role involves implementing quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives of TF and other factories within GMF.
The following functions report into the head of Operational Excellence:
Safety, Quality, Business Improvement, Business engineering, lean and change management
The position also contributes to fostering a speak-up culture, drive continuous improvement and managing innovation within a complex high-tech environment. Collaboration across ASML departments is essential to enhance capabilities and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
Role and responsibilities
- Set the Operational & Excellence(O&E) direction and lead the execution of the departmental business plan; mid-term (2-3 years) forward looking, dynamic (resource and organization) requirements.
- Lead high-impact initiatives that improve our people, quality, processes, and performance.
- Define and drive the O&E strategy across TF, aligned with ASML’s corporate goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across business lines and sectors.
- Translate strategic priorities into multi-year operational plans, with clear KPIs and measurable outcomes.
- Promotes a culture of Continuous Improvement within the TF organization. empower teams to adopt problem-solving strategies and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Develop plans for optimizing the resources and manage budgets (CAPEX/OPEX), resources, and long-term capacity planning.
- Foster a strong speak-up culture and build a workplace that works for everyone.
- Create a business culture that places value on the development of personal capabilities and fulfillment of potential.
- Coach and mentor others to support the development of the organization's talent pool.
- Define the detailed organization structure for own area of responsibility.
Education and experience
- Master’s degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, management or another relevant field.
- At least 10 years of experience in a global, complex technology environment (e.g., semiconductor, automotive, electronics, healthcare).
- Deep expertise in quality management and operational excellence (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, problem solving, leadership standard work)
- Proven experience in leading expert teams and managing change in a matrix environment.
- Experience engaging with senior leadership (JG12–14 equivalent) and influencing strategic direction.
