The EMEA Finance Operations Manager (Funding) is part of Tesla’s Financial Services team. The Funding team is responsible for ensuring Tesla receives timely payments in full from banks, leasing companies and other third parties across different business lines including vehicles, supercharging and service. The EMEA Funding Manager will be responsible for coordinating daily operational activities for the team and implementing improvements to the funding process to improve time to collect Accounts Receivables and team efficiency. They are expected to do this by working closely with their own team as well as other centralized and local teams to establish processes and controls that allow Tesla to grow the overall number of deliveries and fleet size in EMEA while reducing Accounts Receivables across the region.
The ideal candidate will possess an interest in building and improving processes while staying on top of regular daily activities for the team. They will be thorough and proactively seek out and identifying improvements and action these to ensure they are implemented.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the daily operations for the Funding team to ensure invoices are paid within payment terms
- Establish metrics to measure the various parts of the Funding process and monitor these on an ongoing basis to understand team performance and opportunities for improvement
- Drive initiatives to improve the time to fund and adherence to credit policies across the different business lines
- Collaborate with local teams to identify processes that can be centralized and automated to allow us to scale with the goal of bringing all vehicles with payment terms onto one process
- Develop policies and guardrails together with the EMEA underwriting team to ensure there are effective and scalable enforcement mechanisms in place if payment terms are breached
