Your opportunity:
Do you want to be part of creating a brand-new bakery and café concept in Amsterdam from day one? This is your chance. As Head Pastry Chef / Baker at Café Bica, you will not only lead the daily production but also play a key role in developing and creating new products. With your expertise in pastry and viennoiserie, you will help us prepare for our grand opening at the end of September 2025. Preferred start date is as soon as possible, so you can join us during the setup phase.
About Café Bica:
Café Bica is the new venue of the Bam Boa Family – known for our sunny spot on the Amstel. In autumn 2025 we will open our new café, complete with in-house bakery, specialty coffee and homemade patisserie. Our mission is to create a warm place where craftsmanship, creativity and hospitality come together.
The role:
We are looking for a Head Pastry Chef / Baker to build our bakery with us. You will oversee daily production while also having the freedom to contribute your creativity and passion for new recipes and product ideas.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparing pastry, viennoiserie and baked goods with consistency and creativity.
- Developing and testing new recipes and products.
- Structuring and managing daily production processes.
- Ensuring quality, hygiene and consistency in the bakery.
- Working closely with and guiding a small, enthusiastic team.
