As a HR Generalist, you’ll play a key role in supporting and facilitating the People & Culture function with a strong focus on administrative coordination, proactive planning, and project support. This role combines day-to-day HR operations with involvement in ongoing initiatives that drive organizational effectiveness and employee experience. You’ll collaborate closely with HR colleagues, Talent Acquisition and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth HR processes and contribute to continuous improvement. This role reports into the Head of People & Culture.
Maternity cover is from November to April.
Availability: 24- 32 hours, with the flexibility to set your own daily schedule
What you'll do as HR Generalist
You won’t just “support” HR work—you’ll own it. You’ll take the lead on key initiatives and projects that shape our people’s experience and our future workforce.
- Lead and provide administrative support across the employee lifecycle—contracts, onboarding, offboarding, and role transitions—making them smooth, engaging, and memorable.
- Take ownership of our HR systems and records, ensuring they’re accurate, insightful, and ready to support smart decision-making.
- Drive projects tied to our 2026 workforce strategy, from headcount planning to diversity & inclusion programs to policy refreshes.
- Drive the development and implementation of the career framework- focussing on succession planning, career pathways, and related initiatives.
- Be the HR point of contact for payroll, finance, and cross-team processes, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
- Plan and deliver internal communications that keep employees connected to HR initiatives and company goals.
- Design and run company events, team-building activities, and engagement programs that strengthen our culture.
- Identify and implement process improvements—transforming templates, workflows, and documentation into more efficient, employee-friendly tools.

What you'll bring to the team
Experience: 3+ years of generalist HR experience, ideally in a fast-paced or scale-up environment. Familiar with HR operations, Dutch labor law, and coordinating projects across departments.
Skills: Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented. Able to manage multiple administrative and project-related tasks independently. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working with HR systems and Excel/Google Sheets.
Languages: Business proficient in English and Dutch – both written and verbal.
Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
Availability: Available to start in November for a maternity cover until April (exact dates to be confirmed), 1 day a week at home the rest working from our Waardenburg office.
