Are you passionate about Human Resources and eager to learn in a dynamic hospitality environment? Join our close-knit HR team at the Amsterdam Marriott Hotel as an HR Intern, where you'll gain hands-on experience across all areas of HR—from recruitment and onboarding to associate relations and learning & development.
During your internship, you will primarily focus on the administrative side of HR, supporting daily operations such as maintaining personnel files, preparing contracts, updating systems, and assisting with reporting. Once you’ve mastered these core tasks, you’ll have the opportunity to take on more responsibilities in areas like recruitment and L&D initiatives, contributing to the full employee experience.
You’ll be part of a supportive team that values collaboration, development, and a positive work culture. This internship reports directly to the Director of Human Resources.
What you’ll do
- Serve as the first point of contact for associates with HR-related questions, helping to maintain strong associate relations.
- Provide administrative support across all HR functions, including maintaining employee records and updating the payroll system.
- Assist in organizing and coordinating TakeCare activities and other internal events to support associate well-being and engagement.
- Support the onboarding process to ensure new hires have a smooth and welcoming start.
- Assist in preparing HR documents such as contracts, letters, and reports.
- Once familiar with core administrative tasks, support recruitment activities such as scheduling interviews and posting vacancies.
- Contribute to internal communication efforts, including newsletters, digital updates, and town hall preparations.

- You are currently pursuing a relevant Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Hospitality or Human Resources.
- You have strong organizational skills and can perform well under pressure.

- You speak fluent English and/or Dutch; additional languages are a plus.
- You hold a valid work permit or documentation that allows you to work in the Netherlands.
