About this role
The Senior Platform Analyst – R2R plays a vital role in the day-to-day month-end accounting operations for global revenue streams and related platform transactions. You’ll be the go-to person for reconciling complex data flows, ensuring IFRS-compliant accounting, and safeguarding data accuracy — from order to cash. Armed with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of both accounting and data structures, you’ll ensure our month-end closes run smoothly and that financial insights are robust, reliable, and ready for action.
You’ll work at the intersection of finance, data, and product, translating raw transactional data into accurate accounting outputs. From reconciling platform revenue to investigating anomalies, you’ll be a key driver of operational excellence in our Platform & Revenue Accounting team.
These are some of the key components to the position:
Financial Reconciliation and Reporting: Reconcile global revenue streams and payment provider flows to ensure accurate and timely financial close.
Data Analysis and Integrity: Utilize tools like BigQuery and Looker to analyze large datasets, investigate discrepancies, and resolve data integrity issues within ETL workflows.
Process Optimization: Map financial data flows and recommend automation or process improvements to enhance the speed and accuracy of month-end close.
Compliance and Audit: Ensure revenue accounting processes comply with IFRS 15 and internal controls, and prepare documentation and schedules for external audits.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various teams (Product, Tech, BI) to ensure accurate financial data capture for new products and communicate financial impacts to all stakeholders.
What will you bring to the team?
Experience & Education: A bachelor's degree in a finance or data-related field with proven experience in a data-intensive finance role, such as revenue accounting or data analysis.
Technical Proficiency: Expertise in SQL (especially with BigQuery), Looker, and advanced Excel/Google Sheets. This includes a strong understanding of ETL processes to troubleshoot data pipelines.
Accounting Knowledge: Solid grasp of IFRS 15 and experience with order-to-cash processes and payment platform reconciliations. Experience with ERP systems like Workday is a plus.
Core Competencies: A strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and keen attention to detail. You must also be a clear communicator who can effectively bridge finance and technical teams.
