Process Technologist Controls

As a Product Specialist, you are the technical specialist on a machine group within the total production process for the food processing industry. In this specialism, you are the knowledge provider for both our customers as well as our internal organization.
Your main goal is to bring technical knowledge into the PDP (Product development process) by providing input into the design and performance of new developments. A specific responsibility in this PDP is making sure that the product passes through a successful O-series phase to reach the milestone of ‘free for sale’. You are the link between the Service, Innovation, and Sales functions building on your expertise on both the food technology side as well as on the technical machine side.
After this milestone, you have a strong say in maintenance projects improving existing equipment (software & hardware) and documentation in order to secure and enhance the serviceability over the total lifetime of the product.
You will actively share vision and market needs to the internal organization and contribute to the innovation process by understanding customers’ requirements and view developments from the service point of view. In this role, you will report to the technical support manager.
What you'll be doing:
- Advising customers regarding technical solutions and support in solving the daily technical issue’s they have
- Take part in the Help Desk by providing specialist technical support for unresolved and escalated work orders
- Pro-active collection of TS&FSE(Technical Support and Field Service Engineer) feedback as input life cycle improvements
- Training of industry/SBU (Service Business Unit) FSE and TS on new equipment and technology
- You are the contact person for internal sales questions during the sales process, participate in review / kick off meetings and performance documents
- Technical risks assessment for specials and supervise in case sold
- Part of the PDP team and translate the market knowledge into the PDP process and able to challenge and review design, with special focus on serviceability.
- O-series testing, installation and commissioning Validate O-series against the POR (program of requirements)

- (Service) Engineering background (Electrical and Automation) and familiarity with industry processes

- 2 - 5 years experience in a technical or food processing engineering environment
