Function
As an Automation Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the periodic cleaning and preventive maintenance of advanced warehouse automation systems. These include box erecting and closing machines, conveyors, Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), and robotics. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our automated infrastructure by following detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all automated warehouse equipment in line with existing SOPs.
- Report anomalies or potential defects to the Supervisor Technical Support (Specialist).
- Provide on-site coordination for external contractors during planned maintenance activities (including access, safety induction, permits, monitoring, and completion sign-off).
- Support the Supervisor during emergency repairs and document repair activities for learning and process improvement.
- Identify and report opportunities for cost savings during maintenance processes.
- Conduct monthly audits of tools and spare parts inventory to ensure operational readiness.
Profile
- A Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; a background in Robotics is advantageous.
- Proven experience in a comparable maintenance role, ideally within an automated or technical environment.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with a strong, solution-focused approach.
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to delivering quality and precision in all tasks.
- Service-minded, eager to learn, and continuously seeking personal and professional growth.
