We are looking for a Compatibility Engineer to join our team in the Amsterdam area. In this role, you will work on the integration between our Energy Management System (EMS) and various devices, including inverters, batteries, and other energy-related hardware.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain integrations between our EMS and third-party devices;
- Work extensively with Modbus, Python, and networking technologies;
- Troubleshoot and resolve communication issues between EMS and connected devices;
- Provide second-line support, assisting internal teams and customers with technical challenges;
- Collaborate with engineers, developers, and external vendors to ensure seamless compatibility.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols;
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation;
- Experience with systems battery connecting and integration;
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP and troubleshooting networked devices;
- Strong technical awareness with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex issues;
- Experience with energy-related hardware (inverters, batteries) is a plus;
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to provide effective second-line support;
- Upper-intermediate English proficiency;
- Ability to work from the office at least three times per week as part of a hybrid work model.
