Head of E-commerce
Are you a strategic digital leader ready to take charge of a rapidly growing international e-commerce operation? At Swim Essentials, we’re looking for a Head of E-commerce to lead and scale our global online presence across Europe and the US.
With our own webshops, strong D2C performance, marketplace integrations, and expansion into new markets, this is your opportunity to lead a fast-moving, creative, and data-driven team. You will play a key role in driving revenue growth and digital innovation for both Swim Essentials and our second brand Beach & Palms.
Your responsibilities
- Own the global e-commerce strategy and execution (EU & US)
- Manage and lead a cross-functional team (marketing, platform, SEO, content, design)
- Oversee all Shopify Plus stores and optimize performance across domains and markets
- Coordinate with our platform specialists to scale up on Amazon, Bol.com, Decathlon, and Faire
- Lead development and optimization of e-commerce flows, including checkout, customer journey, email automation, and upsell/cross-sell opportunities
- Set and track KPIs across conversion, retention, CLV and CAC
- Collaborate closely with marketing, logistics, purchasing, finance, and external partners
- Ensure scalable operations with the right tech stack (ERP, 3PL, connectors like ChannelEngine, etc.)
- Manage international rollout of new domains (e.g., swimessentials.fr, swimessentials.de, swimessentials.com for the US)
What you bring
- 5+ years experience in a senior e-commerce role, preferably in a fast-growing consumer brand
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Deep knowledge of Shopify Plus, marketplaces, and e-commerce integrations
- Experience with international e-commerce operations (ERP systems, logistics, 3PLs)
- Data-driven and strategic mindset with a hands-on attitude
- Fluent in English; Dutch and other European languages are a plus
- Passion for lifestyle, kids or summer-related products is a bonus
