About the role
Exciting expansion across Westfield Group has led to a new position for a HR Generalist to support the European arm of our Wellbeing function. As a HR Generalist you will work within the global HR shared services team to support our European wellbeing teams. As the first point of contact for queries you’ll be juggling the HR inbox and providing advisory and administrative tasks. While this is for an initial 6-month fixed term contract there is possibility for extension.
This position will ideally be placed in the Netherlands; however, we can accept UK based applications from candidates with business proficiency in Dutch.
About the role
- Supervise the absenteeism process, as you safeguard and implement the absenteeism policy so that absenteeism is kept to a minimum
- Write and distribute correspondence to colleagues including change of terms, offboarding and training activities.
- Daily monitoring of the HR inbox, providing responses or escalating queries to the right person.
- Support onboarding of new staff by updating and sending offers, contracts and pre-employment paperwork as well as facilitating induction bookings.
- Produce documentation for disciplinary and grievance issues and attend hearings and investigations.
- Use your knowledge to review and recommend improvements to procedures, policies and systems.
- Support payroll when needed.
- Prepare and deliver accurate HR reports on key metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
About you:
- Established experience within a HR team in an advisory role.
- Up to date knowledge of labour law and social legislation and regulations in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.
- Understanding of HR processes and workflows with Confident in the use of HRIS systems.
- Proven Customer Service and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise your workload.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail, displayed through accurate note taking and document generation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction across all levels of the organisation.
- Strong IT skills, competent in the use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Ability to work effectively at an individual level whilst contributing to the performance of a team.
- Fluent in Dutch and English; proficiency in German is a plus.
