In this position, you will be part of the IS/IT department. The IS/IT department is a team of 170 highly skilled and motivated professionals. We have embraced the Agile way of working and have 18 squads working in DevOps mode providing IT services to our 3500 Thales Netherlands colleagues. IS/IT is at the core of the Thales digital transformation, there is a close relationship between IS/IT and business.
We aim to deliver best in class IT solutions to our Thales Netherlands colleagues. This is done within our agile IT teams who work in close interaction with the colleagues in the business. Are you passionate about performance in an Agile and dynamic setting, and ready to lead teams towards operational excellence? Our IS/IT department is seeking a dynamic Performance Lead to guide two squads on an exciting journey to Agile maturity. In this diverse role, you will be at the forefront of improving the performance of our IT organization, where operational activities meet innovative projects.
As the Performance Lead, you will empower your squads by inspiring them to continuously improve their workflows and embrace Agile principles. Your mission will be to create an environment where team members can thrive, overcome obstacles, and achieve their goals. You’ll be a crucial driver in enhancing the department's operational performance while collaborating with a collective of peers to raise the bar for all teams.
What you’ll do:
- Drive operational excellence: Support the squad in their day-to-day operations, monitor project & service management performance, be a first point of contact for operational issues within or with the team.
- Streamline delivery: Assist the Product Owner in managing the backlog, fostering stakeholder relationships & occasional project coordination, helping to drive project delivery within our department.
- Be the problem solver: Guide problem-solving techniques that empower the squad to find their own solutions and improve their decision-making skills.
- Coach & facilitate: Inspire squad members to excel by providing support and removing barriers to their success, enhance squad functioning by organizing engaging events such as retrospectives and stand-ups, and facilitating meaningful Agile meetings.
- Optimize processes: take the lead in process optimization in your squad and collaborate with a collective of peers, coordinating process improvement across the department
- Continuous improvement: Champion a culture of growth by ensuring retrospectives are impactful and drive ownership in team actions.
Who you are:
- A seasoned Performance Lead or Scrum Master with proven experience in boosting team performance.
- A proactive leader who encourages initiative and creativity among team members.
- An effective communicator, fluent in both spoken and written Dutch & English.
- You have a strong affinity for IT
- You work on HBO or WO level.
- A team player who collaborates across squads and departments to achieve common goals.
