Why This Role Matters:
As a Knowledge Management Expert, you’ll help shape how ESA captures, shares, and applies knowledge across its space missions. You’ll lead initiatives that strengthen knowledge culture, ensure lessons learned are put into practice, and drive continuous improvement across the Human and Robotic Exploration Directorate (HRE). Your work will directly contribute to the success of ground-breaking European space projects.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and plan Knowledge Management (KM) initiatives that empower teams to capture and share expertise.
- Shape ESA’s Lesson Learned process – from identifying and documenting insights to embedding them across the agency.
- Organize engaging workshops, onboarding sessions, and knowledge-sharing events that inspire collaboration.
- Develop and maintain digital platforms (SharePoint, MS Teams) that connect knowledge across ESA.
- Work closely with experts to ensure critical know-how is retained and accessible for future missions.
- Support Quality Management activities, audits, and continuous improvements to ESA processes.
- Contribute to agency-wide initiatives, ensuring best practices in Knowledge Management are adopted.
What You Bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree (STEM, business, or related discipline) with relevant experience.
- At least 4 years’ experience in Knowledge Management, Quality Management, or similar roles.
- Experience working with ESA procedures, tools, and project environments is desirable but not essential.
- Strong IT skills (SharePoint, MS Teams, Microsoft 365).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage across technical, engineering, and business domains.
- Proven ability to thrive in a multicultural, project-driven environment.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of another EU language is an advantage.
- EU work eligibility is required.
