We see education as a chance to make impact for our society to become more sustainable, inclusive and vital. The field of IT and software development can deliver an important part to this mission.
We love to work with students and help them develop and prepare well for their later life in which they will face quite some demanding challenges. We do that by combining several ways of working with students: teaching, coaching, inspiring, researching, knowledge sharing, networking. Because we want our students to become quality-driven innovative software developers, eager to learn, with a critical mind-set, and a broad perspective on the possibilities of IT (from AI to Security, from Business Informatics to Embedded Systems).
For this, we seek an experienced software engineer who would love to bring her (*) expertise into the dynamic and inspiring environment of education.
At the start, a new colleague will get the chance to observe how we do "education" and get into contact with students of different years. After the first 8 to 10 weeks, we will discuss together where our new colleague starts to do things herself, but we will not leave her alone - we work with a buddy system, as in pair programming. In addition, she will have to do a course for gaining basic didactical skills in her first year.

Meet our team
We are a highly driven team, standing with each other. Each team member is broadly involved in our program and enjoys discussions with our students. We do not go for a specific technology stack, instead there is quite some space to develop yourself. Get in contact with us and let us discuss ideas and possibilities!
The team is a mix of competences, from coaching to teaching, from research to hands-on development, from hard-core programmers to agile project managers, from believers in TDD to code generators, and more. At the same time, we are an international team, spanning several nationalities and cultures. That is why English is our main language, within the team and with students - though every student and every new colleague will be supported in learning Dutch.
This is how you make an impact
- You are passionate, especially about working with students and about software development (even and in particular in times of AI), with a motivating drive towards students and colleagues. You have a pragmatic and team-oriented way of working, combined with goal-orientation, and an international and open mindset.
- You’ll work with students, online and physically, in projects, in class and in discussions. You’ll coach students and challenge them to develop their knowledge and skills.
-
You’ll contribute to the development of our bachelor program, together with our team and in discussion with your/our network with the (international) professional field. You’ll work together with other programs on campus (Engineering, Logistics, Business) to offer students abroad perspective on how to make impact.
- If you do not yet have a master’s degree but have a lot of experience in the field and the intrinsic motivation to work with students, we also invite you to respond.
