General
This is a combined teaching and team‑leadership role within our operations team for the Bachelor programme. You ensure smooth daily operations and foster a collaborative culture centred on excellent teaching and strong teamwork. Approximately 0.3 / 0.4 FTE of your time—depending on your FTE—is dedicated to leadership duties such as coaching staff, coordinating workflows, and advancing our operational education. The remainder is focused on teaching, keeping you close to students and the classroom.
Your Role
As Team Lead Education, you’ll balance hands‑on teaching with guiding and growing your team of lecturers to deliver outstanding operational content across our curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Leadership: Build your team’s expertise, coach lecturers and maintain strong internal and external networks.
- Operations & Staffing: Plan and manage staff schedules, HR processes and resource allocation within budget.
- Team Growth: Onboard new lecturers, facilitate their development and establish a supportive, cohesive teaching team.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with other team leads, HR and Programme Managers and stakeholders to align goals and ensure programme success.
- Teaching: Deliver operations-focused courses based on hospitality—including modules where operational learning is integrated—while providing clear structure, guidance, and feedback to lecturers.
This blend of strategic oversight and hands‑on teaching ensures both operational excellence and an exceptional student experience.
Candidate Profile
You hold a Master’s degree and bring substantial experience in team management or educational consulting within operational education or communication. You excel at translating linguistic theory into engaging practice, guiding both lecturers and students, and fostering collaboration across departments. You stay up to date within operations management or operations in hospitality, and you thrive in an international academic environment.

Remuneration
Hotelschool The Hague offers a salary based on scale 12 of the labour agreement of Universities of Applied Science (CAO HBO) with a range between € 5.486,78 and €7.175,82 per month, depending on your professional experience and qualifications.
